Firstly, please check you have entered the SMS number correctly. Often the problem occurs when members forget to remove the zero after their country code.
Our SMS shortcode is defined within an adult category.
This may have some impact on your ability to receive messages from us as Network Providers have set up various protection schemes for those under the legal adult age to ensure that they cannot get access to adult-based SMS services. Specifically, Webcam & Phone Chat notifications and the initial verification message. (Once verified you might still receive some messages, e.g. the booking reminder but not ones sent from our shortcode.)
If you have credit on your phone and you are unable to reply or send a message to our shortcode it is most likely that your phone or contract has not been cleared for adult use.
You will need to contact your network provider and arrange to have this restriction lifted. You can simply say that you are trying to send a text to a premium/adult SMS service. (*New* Check your verification status here by filling in your details and pressing the 'Check Provider Age Verification Status' button.)
Once you have had this bar/restriction lifted you need to click Edit Profile (within the "My Details" section of your profile), remove your number, and save your profile. You must then re-enter the number and save again. Only when you have done this should you re-request the verification code here.
We know this is a pain, but the problems you are experiencing are wholly outside our control and in some cases are due to the inability of your service provider to provide a Yes or a No answer as to whether you have passed their own age verification test or not!
