AdultWork Live is currently in Beta, which means we are expecting the odd problem here and there. As such we are only making it available for certain periods of time. If the link to it appears on the Site, it should be available.
Whilst we have big aspirations for the Site, the initial brief was to simulate or improve upon the "TV" area of the Site and the somewhat limited functionality therein and improve the experience for smartphones and tablets. There is no real functionality there for webcam hosts. All profile management should be done on AdultWork.com as normal.
All of the existing "rules" in the TV area of the main Site are honoured on AW Live. Namely who appears and what order they appear in. Those in Group first then those paying for DirectCam Positioning, which can be participated in, here, then those offering free preview. Members not in Group, not offering a free preview, and not participating in DirectCam Positioning will at the end.
Webcam providers do not need to do anything differently to appear on AW Live. Login to JustCamIt or JustCamIt Lite as usual and within a couple of minutes, you will appear on the Site.
There are no current plans to get rid of the existing Webcam Home Page or the "TV" area of the Site. The TV area may ultimately disappear or redirect to AW Live. TV is ambiguous and not entirely relevant to cams.
Persons using AW Live can filter on those people that offer free previews to guests. Whilst we Tweet a link to providers that do this within the TV area, there is no specific link to it. When activity is low, you may wish to consider offering a free preview and free preview to guests to see if you can drum up some custom. Change all of your DirectCam Settings here.
AW Live only supports HLS video (at this time).
We are working to replace Adobe Flash (used on the main desktop version of AdultWork.com) with WebRTC. Adobe Flash is required for a 2-way cam, so at this time 2-Way cam will not be possible with users of AW Live. (This has always been the case with clients using smartphones and tablets.)
The WebApp (for smartphones and tablets) supports motion JPEG. This allows people on really low-speed connections to engage in cam sessions. This technique is yet to be made available on AW Live.
We do plan to release a motion JPEG player and potentially a Flash player for clients if problems are significant.
Free galleries and private galleries are accessible on the Site and movie clip sales will be added soon.
We are not actively marketing the Site at this time. There is much to do to ensure it will be the best cam platform in the World. It will take a couple of months to iron out issues and integrate the fall-back player technologies. When we're ready the Site will be launched with huge fanfare and promotion to a Global audience.
