Banks have an 18-character limit on account names when processing payments; this means that you may not be able to enter your full account name if it exceeds the limit.
Priority needs to go to your surname, then the first name if it can fit, so for example "Miss Jane Elizabeth Doe" will not fit within the limit. We'd ask that you enter your account name as "Jane Elizabeth Doe" in this instance.
If you have a name like "Miss Jane-Anne Elizabeth Doe", you should enter your account name as "Jane-Anne Doe", leaving out the initial of your middle name(s).
If you have a long surname (or multiple surnames), please ensure they are entered in full and simply provide the initial of your first name. For example "Mrs. Maria Da Silva Gonzales" should be entered as "M D Silva Gonzales".
If you are withdrawing to a company account, please enter your account name as your company's name.
If you are not sure how to provide your account name to us, please get in touch here for assistance.
