How to Set Up Your Broadcaster
Existing DirectCam Users
If you are already a DirectCam user, you’ll find that your existing room mode settings and prices have been carried over and configured on DirectCam 2 for you.You can change your settings anytime by clicking the Settings button , or the
button at the top right and selecting Broadcaster Settings.
New DirectCam Users
If you're new to DirectCam 2 and haven't webcammed on AdultWork before, you'll find that DirectCam 2 helpfully opens a Setup Wizard for you as soon as you log in to the Broadcaster. This wizard guides you through setting up your room modes and prices step by step.
Chat Only Mode (DirectIM)
DirectIM 2 (or Chat Only) is a simpler version of DirectCam 2 that offers pay-per-minute text-only chat without video. You can enable Chat Only by clicking the Settings button or by clicking the
button in the top-right and selecting Broadcaster Settings and enabling Chat Only Mode as shown below:
Free Preview
You can configure a free preview for users watching your session in your Broadcaster Settings. This feature lets hosts and viewers interact to decide the type of show the client wants before starting a Group or Private session.
You can set a time limit for the Free Preview. Viewers can watch only one Free Preview per streaming session, after which they must join a Group or Private session. Please note that nudity is not allowed in Free Mode.
Paid Room Modes
DirectCam 2 offers several paid Room Modes to customise your streaming experience. To begin streaming, you need to enable at least one of these modes.
Group
A paid mode that lets multiple members join the session and chat with the host simultaneously.
Private
A paid mode enabling one-on-one interaction between host and viewer, typically priced higher than Group Mode.
Voyeur (Coming soon!)
A paid mode available when a host is in Private letting members outside the session watch the host's video feed. Voyeurs cannot read or send messages; the Private chat stays between the host and Private members. Voyeur mode is typically priced higher than Private Mode.
Kicking or Banning Members
You can kick or ban a viewer from your session by clicking the Actions button in the Broadcaster User List.
Kicking a Viewer
Kicking temporarily removes a viewer from the stream and blocks re-entry for a selected time of 1 hour, 6 hours, or 24 hours.
Banning a Viewer
Banning a member removes them from the session and prevents them from re-entering until you have unbanned them.
Unbanning Members
You can un-kick or un-ban members from your Kicked List, found under the Options menu by clicking the button in the top-right and selecting Kicked List.
Boost
The DirectCam Boost button lets you bid to improve your profile's position on the DirectCams listing pages.
Select the number of credits to bid, and a bar below will display your bid's strength. Click Bid to Boost to place your bid. You can also bid for future slots by clicking Bid for future slots.
