What Is DirectCam
DirectCam is a full real-time webcam + chat application. You can view the provider’s camera, chat, and optionally hear audio (if enabled).

What Is DirectIM
DirectIM is a simplified, text-only chat version of DirectCam. It allows you to chat with a service provider in real time without video, and credits are deducted based on session duration.

How They Work — Modes & Billing
Both DirectIM and DirectCam use similar session modes and billing logic:
Modes

Free mode
A shared preview where you can interact for free for a limited time. -
Group mode
A paid shared area: multiple paying members can chat or view the provider. The session duration is limited by your credit balance, and credits are debited at the published “Group” rate. -
Private mode
A one-to-one room with you and the provider only.
You can upgrade from Free to Group or Private mid-session in both services.
Billing & Credits
- Credits are debited automatically based on session duration and rates set by the provider.
- Billing starts when the system confirms you are receiving the video (or, for DirectIM, when the session is active).
- You are billed full-minute rates (or partial-minute) for every minute of usage.
- You must have credits for a minimum session (2 minutes) before you can start a paid session.
Do I need special software?
No. The DirectICam and DirectIM applications are natively supported in all modern browsers.
